Literacy 6/7

Today we were putting some of the finishing touches on out descriptive writing piece that went with a picture shown in class. Some of them started their For Sale Spooky Haunted Houses! Some of the ideas were really starting to form! We read a very exciting chapter from the City of Ember. What will Lina do next?!

Literacy 8

Everyone had the chance to pass in their descriptive pieces, and some other missing writing. Those who were finished got to start their For Sale Spooky Haunted House! There is some really awesome talent in this class! Can't wait to "buy" a house! Then we read another inforamtive chapter from the Giver! Will Jonas be able to handle himself????

Math 1

Centers! Everyone was working on their numbers and sorting today! We are working on sorting by shape, size and colour!

Social Studies 6/7

We finihsed our amazing descussion on what we thought the comic book was about. The students got to learn about what it was all about. The Secret Path by Gord Downie and Jeff Lemire was shown to them, and the realization of what happened to some of those in residential schools started to sink in. 

Technology 6/7

Today we tried our hand at Tinkercad!! Loads of tinkering happening in class today. Exploring is the best way to learn!
