Recently
Miramichi Rural School students raised funds for a charity called, "Post
Genocide Education Fund". This charity provides scholarships for students
who have suffered through genocide in Rwanda and Sudan.
Featured here is
a video from Niyibizi Moses expressing his sincere thanks to the students of
Miramichi Rural for their great support in helping fellow genocide survivors
gain access to post secondary education.Moses recently graduated from Mount
Kenya University in Kigali and is now working for Rwanda Tourism University
College as an IT support technician.
Not only do the
funds donated to PGEF help the students but these students in turn support many
family members. With his recent successful employment Moses now helps support
his mother who lives in Mutara, Rwanda as well as his brothers and his
sisters.
Mr. Hayward
travelled to Rwanda in March of 2013 to meet with the students and see their
progress and celebrate their success.
A big “Thank you!”
to Ms. Reid, the students of Miramichi Rural and the Miramichi community. If you would like to donate to PGEF please visit http://www.postgen.org/To watch the video copy and paste the following link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q75XzM0oiPU
