I'd like to introduce myself as the new fine arts specialist at Miramichi Rural.  I've taught at all school levels - elementary, middle and high school and a variety of subjects.  My academic speciality is Language Arts/English but in addition to the written word, the fine arts are near and dear to my heart.  Music and drawing have been a part of my life since my childhood, both piano and singing, and I'm looking forward to cultivating talents in Miramichi Rural students.  I believe that the arts are an essential component of education as they help students to use different parts of their brain, as well as boost self-esteem and joy in learning.    Mrs. McLean
