Families, by now you may have heard from the gnb press conference that students in K-6 will begin their Christmas holidays at the end of this week (Dec.17th). Students in grades 7/8 are still expected to attend until Dec.23rd.
We will now be recording our Christmas concert on Thursday, Dec.16th, so we hope to have all our students here.
The grade 5-6 have taken on the initiative of collecting items in hopes of filling shoeboxes for children living in war, poverty, and disaster through Operation Christmas Child. This is a wonderful opportunity for all M.R.S. students (K-8) to show empathy towards another by helping fill these shoeboxes. Each box is a powerful expression of hope and joy for each child that receives them. Students, K-8 are asked to please bring in any donation of items for the shoeboxes over the next couple of weeks, October 12th-November 12th, 2021.
Due to Corona Virus protocol, Kindergarten registration for September 2021 in Anglophone School District North will be changing. This year, the first step to register your child for Kindergarten is to contact your community school by telephone between September 20th and October 8th to make an appointment for an in-person meeting at the school.
We have learned that there will be vaccination clinics held next week on June 15th, 16th and 17th at the Miramichi Agricultural Exhibition Building, and we have been approved to send any students 12+ years who have yet to receive their first dose.
Report Cards will be issued today to our students. Parent Teacher Interviews will once again be held over the phone or via a virtual meeting through TEAMS. Teachers will be in contact to schedule a meeting for either Thursday evening, April 15th or Friday morning, April 16th. If you have not been contacted but wish to set up an appointment, please reach out to your child's teacher by either calling the school at 228-2000 or via email. All teacher emails can be found on the the school website under the staff tab.
