The children had a bit of center time on the first day of school and the most popular was the kitchen.

We made Bouncy Balls while we were learning about the letter b. We used Borax, glue, water and food coloring. Thanks to Pinterest for the idea. The children loved it and we practiced saying the /b/ sound and then they had some time to bounce their balls.

We were learning about the letters B & C in Literacy and patterns in math, so we went to the kitchen to Bake Cupcakes. The children took turns putting the cupcake liners in the tins to make a pattern. They had a great time adding all of the ingredients and mixing the batter and the icing. ...
