Good afternoon! I think everyone had sugar for breakfast this morning because we all had lots of energy. Our morning began with a letter. Some of us gave some weekend news. Do you remember what your classmates did on the weekend? It is great to see everyone wanting to share something! Our spelling challenge word today was resentful. Do you remember a time when you were resentful? We did an activity today on noun, verbs, adjectives and adverbs. Do you remember what describes a noun? A verb? Everyone seemed to catch on quick! Our world news today was about an otter! Would you want to have a pet for an otter? They are very rambunctious animals. After that, we doodled a sea otter lying on his back. We read a book about the Three Ninja Pigs. We all had a good chuckle over it. Mrs. Jardine even came up with a good idea! Do you remember? We ended our morning with a round of Daily 5. Almost everyone chose Write to Self. That made Miss Reid extremely happy to see students so interested in working on their writing! Smiles all around! It was an indoor recess because of the rain today and some students decided they wanted to continue to work on their writing. I won’t say no to that! In math, we finished up the Math 3 Under the Sea activities and we did a Senteo review on multiplication and division. In science we braved the wet weather and went outside to get some soil samples. We are testing soil and we will be presenting our experiment and results to Mr. Hayward’s science class! Stay dry tonight! See you all tomorrow!
